HUMAN TRAFFICKING – A GLOBAL ISSUE

Human trafficking is a crime, In which some criminals kidnaps innocent people (mostly girls of young age) and illegally takes them to other countries to sell their organs, to use them as labour or for the sexual exploitation. It has become a serious problem in present era. It is also a very organized crime just like smuggling of arms and drugs. The main target of these menace are those countries which are economically backward. They have to work in a severe and unfavorable circumstances, and this fact is also very pathetic that they are treated cruelly. They don’t even have sufficient food to eat and they have to survive in bad weather condition without shelter and without  any other basic human need.

Poverty

Men, woman and young children living in poverty are the ones who usually fall in the trap of the traffickers. When a country is surfing from economic crises, there will be a high chance of people to get into fraudulent employment schemes. Which traps them into trafficking. ” Every year a lot of Pakistani youngsters becomes a victim of trafficking to other countries by the agents, especially to the Middle East countries. like Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Iran and U.A.E. Quite ironically for a promising and prosperous future. They spent a considerable amount of money to enter these countries. Because they felt as if their future in their own country is very dark. It is an established fact that many people from India and Pakistan leave their country for better future.

Many governments have started anti-trafficking programs to stop this oppression. Millions of dollars are provided to organizations all over the world to provide programs, so human trafficking can be fought.

The U.S. has assisted countries to enact anti-trafficking legislation, trained law enforcement officials, prosecutors, border guards and judicial officers on detecting, investigating, and prosecuting traffickers, and protecting victims and provided start-up equipment for new anti-trafficking police units.

It has ruined countless lives throughout the world. This is the most terrifying fact that no one had ever returned back. those have been into trafficking. most of them looses their lives in their attempts to escape. It is now the duty of the government officials and law-enforcement agencies to take heed of this serious issue. The government and welfare organizations should create enough employment opportunities, so that the jobless would feel themselves economically secure in their own country.
